Our spiritual Path Begins

My own journey has been an up and down effort.  I grew up in "church" and learned at an early age the basics of God's plan.  But my own stubborn will got in the way for a while.  The habits developed during that period have haunted me many times since.  Not in a fear that they are not forgiven, but in that they rear their ugly, sinful head from time to time and must be subdued and dealt with again.  You see I'm not perfect (big surprise I know).  But I know the God who is, and who makes a difference in my life.  This website is about sharing that knowledge so He can make a difference in your life too.

I Believe

That God is real and has reached out to us through His son, Jesus Christ.

That He has delivered a message to us through the Holy Spirit in the book we call the Bible.

That the Bible is all we need to know what God says to us.

That He calls us to repentance and a better life through our obedience to His direction.

That how we live is important.

That where and how we worship matters. (not that there is only one group out of 600+denominations, but that doing what God says is required.)

I preach for a small church of Christ in Williston, FL.  I grew up going to a church of Christ, but was blessed with many people inside and outside of the church, who taught me how to study and decide for myself what to believe.  As a result there are things that have changed in my beliefs, from what many churches of Christ have taught through the years.  On the majority of issues though, I see things the same.  My efforts are to stand where God directs.  My belief that only those who strive to obey Him will be rewarded by Him(not that I earn it), require me not to stand step in step with what men have taught, but with what God has said.  Therefore as I "study to show myself approved" I will edit my views as I continue to learn what God means in His Word.
